Congratulations to Mrs. Amy Timpe on being selected as the November Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Timpe teaches second grade at St. Petersburg Christian School, where she has been teaching for the past eleven years. Amy has a real passion for teaching that is evident when you walk into her classroom - she makes learning fun.

“I want my students to learn the material I’m teaching them, but more than anything, my hope is that I’ll be a positive influence on their character,” Amy told us. “I count it a great privilege to be able to teach and have a positive influence on the minds and hearts of these young ones.”

Mrs. Timpe is truly loved and appreciated by both her students and parents at St. Pete Christian. Here is a sampling of what they had to say about their favorite teacher at our Joto’s Teacher of the Month Pizza party!

“My daughter has Mrs. Timpe on ‘celebrity status.’ One day Mrs. Timpe asked the kids in her class what was the best part of their day and my daughter Lexi answered….YOU!”
– Whitney Shouppe

“From day one in second grade, my daughter has had nothing but great things to say about her teacher. In fact, she even wants Mrs. Timpe to go to Disney World with her.”
– Tami Holmes

“All the children in Mrs. Timpe’s class are very fortunate to have such an exceptional teacher. She truly is a blessing to the educational system.”
– Lorraine Schneider

“Mrs. Timpe proves daily to be a dedicated and loving teacher to her students. In turn they share her passion and enthusiasm for learning.”
– Sandy Hannon

“Mrs. Timpe takes no short cuts! She is awesome. Thank you Amy.”
– Betsy Tartar
