Kids in the Kitchen

Whether you are looking for a Super Bowl snack or if the late-night munchies have hit, this super snack is sure to hit the spot. With this simple recipe, your kids will be able to turn a simple pie crust into a treat of its own. Our kids loved these delightfully seasoned flaky wedges, with and without the nuts!

Honey-Nut Pastry Wedges

  • 1 9-inch refrigerated pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  1. Roll out pie crust onto an ungreased baking sheet. Use a pizza cutter to score the pastry into wedges (do not cut all the way through).
  2. Drizzle honey evenly over pastry.
  3. Combine pecans, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over honey.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Cut along scored lines.
